Be Prepared, Get Ready
- When there’s increased wildfire risk, the utility companies may need to turn off power, as a measure of last resort, to ensure the safety of the public. This is known as a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). Through a collaborative partnership the California 211 Network, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), and Southern California Edison (SCE) support customers who reside in high fire risk area with an Access or Functional Needs (AFN) such as a disability, limited transportation, or other need for assistance by connecting them to resources, programs, and local support systems. - Resources and Support for Customers with Access and Functional Needs: SCE offers resources and support to serve the diverse needs of our customers during Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) outages. Visit www.sce.com/afn
- SCE is conducting Self-Identification Surveys in High Fire Risk Areas (HFRAs) throughout SCE service area to better support customers with Access and Functional Needs (AFN). Keep an eye out for this survey in your mail and email boxes later this year. This is not a scam.
